African Entrepreneurs, Globalization & Shift Happens

I got a scary email today from a student at Carnegie Melon University:

“Please direct me to where I can get info about how you managed to make it as an entrepreneur in Africa at a time when there aren’t so many.”

Firstly, there are thousands of entrepreneurs in Africa – I know more than I can count on all my fingers and toes! Also, organizations such as Endeavor.org are greatly assisting entrepreneurship in this part of the world. South Africa is growing at about 6% per annum – our infrastructure can’t keep up and we’re on our way to hosting the 2010 World Cup Soccer – a spectacular honor! To believe that there “aren’t so many” entrepreneurs in Africa is very myopic!

The following video is an all-time YouTube favourite of mine – I wish there was one that included South Africa – maybe I’ll put one together sometime – but regardless, Globalization if upon us, so enjoy!

    Yeah, right.
Every country has its own caractheristic, and Africa is not a uncivilication country. They have unique culture, rich resources, genius people and also great tourism source.
Africa can be one of the most amazing country with good development in economyc, financial and manufacturing. I have read a press release which review about automotive trade there, and you know what? they do not effected by global crisis, the level of automotive trade is increasing in this crisis.
