BlogRush

BlogRush

I first heard about BlogRush only about a week ago, and when I met the CEO at TechCrunch40, I told him that I thought it was a pyramid scheme for Internet traffic - or at least, that’s the impression that I got from the YouTube Video.

After he explained the business model too me - I realised that I overlooked the number of links on each widget - the penny dropped. I now think that this is a great idea to generate more traffic to your blog, and open your blog to a wider customer base, so I’m going to test it out. There’s nothing to lose - so try it out!I created an account - and here is the widget they produce for you. If you signup through my link, I get extra traffic to my blog through their network - so please click away! :-)

Update: Here is a YouTube Video, explaining how BlogRush works :

What annoys me is the fact that, because my blog has a .co.za domain extension, I cannot sign up for the service!

    Discrimination I tell you ;)

I have been hearing about BlogRush for some time and thought like you. Keep us updated on any success. Most of the blogs I write and I would like more traffic to are very targeted and I am not sure the BlogRush traffic will help me.

I just wish they would allow a coza domain to be linked, it’s annoying! I don’t want to have to go register a dummy .com URL just for the sake of testing their services :(

Just posted the YouTube Video. I believe that BlogRush is going through a lot, due to the unprecedented takeup - I’d give them a chance on the customer support, Chris.

Rob: What’s wrong with Widgets? I thought my content was pretty good?!

Understandable, thanks for the follow up message Vinny.

I recently developed a free wordpress plugin called “BlogRush Click Maximizer”. By using it you can vastly improve your Click Through Rate.

This allows you to control what you want to display in BlogRush. You can even write alternate - short and catchy title just for BlogRush.

You will have total control of what appears over the BlogRush Network.

    Check it out here:

BlogRush accepted a lot of members and got them to promote their service. And how did BlogRush repay them? They deactivated their blogs and removed them from the system.

They did this to over 10,000 people just this weekend.

I can see sites not accepting a submision. But don’t accept someone’s submission, get them to promote your site, and then turn around and screw them over.

I would recommend using a legitimate blog submission service. You might just find that you put BlogRush on your blog and promote it, and when they are done using you, they will screw you over too.

I used this for a short period on my blog website, but it didn’t send a lot of traffic. Otherwise I waste a lot of traffic to this, but I never got something back.
