I was recently profiled in a great new Indian lifestyle magazine, called Sutra. Sutra is available in the UK, India & South Africa and focuses primarily on highlighting the latest in Indian culture globally and it has been launched with great reviews.
My sincere thanks to Terrence Kommal and his team for the privilege of being featured in their latest issue.

This post is a bit late, but nevertheless -Synthasite has been named as one of the top Internet startups in South Africa, by Intelligence Magazine late last year. Charl Norman wrote the article, which also included the likes of iJol, Muti, Amatomu, Afrigator, Zoopy and Blueworld.
It’s great to see all this innovation coming out of South Africa, however, the great challenges as always, will be finding sustainable business models.
Mike Stopforth & Erik Herssman served South Africa really well, by being on a panel at the recent Demo Conference. Here is the video from their session:

On a final note, nominations have now opened in South Africa for the IT Personality of the Year award. Start nominating your favourite IT Personalities!

I’ll be appearing on the CNBC Africa Business AM breakfast show tomorrow morning at 6:15am until 6:45am - GMT+2 (yes, I have to be there at like 5:30am - those who know me, are wondering how that is possible!). I’m having it recorded, and will post a video here as soon as I can.

I was fortunate enough to get featured in one of the cover stories in this month’s GQ magazine (South Africa) - pick up a copy if you live in SA, it starts on pg 70.
Alternatively, here is the online version, which will only be up for a month, until end of July 2007 (they don’t keep the content up permanent).
