Hi,
As a merchant we are always trying to “sense” what would be the next big thing in Internet marketing.
I found it now hard for an affiliate to still make money on paid search if he is new to a program or if the space is too crowded and the ppc reaches rocket high prices. I was wondering what were your views as a Top affiliates on RSS feed, do you think they can be the next big thing and companies and affiliates alike should look into this direction as an alternative? Rss is really seducing as it is somewhat easy to implement and offers, products launches, product reviews can be fed realtime, this is also a cost effective medium.
Do you agree?
Thanks
Aurelia

Hi Aurelia
Many top affiliates are using RSS to generate traffic and it seems that, as part of a holistic marketing strategy, that RSS will contribute to better traffic volumes and distribution. I don’t believe that in the short term that RSS is the silver bullet, and like all things Internet, requires time, energy, focus and dedication to actually become a profitable channel by itself.
