Vinny meets Al Gore

Vinny meets Al Gore, originally uploaded by Vinny Lingham.

As many of you may know – Global Warming presents a clear and present danger to all of us. I got a chance to speak to Al Gore briefly about his new movie, An Inconvenient Truth, which I highly recommend. It opened this weekend in South Africa and I’m proud to note that a local South African company, PBMR is considered to be a world leader in alternative energy design, and will be deploying a Pebble Bed Modular Reactor very soon on our soil. Google also announced plans to power their energy guzzling servers, using Solar Energy.

After watching An Inconvenient Truth, it as become even more of a concern, as the usage of energy continues to soar, that we find alternative energies – our generation is responsible for this problem, and we need to fix it!

    Vinny,

It’s great to meet so many high profiled people!
I am glad you take an interest in Global Warming.

President Bush has been criticized for not signing the Kyoto Protocol, but why are some countries who are also major contributors to pollution exempted?

    Hi Vinny,

My post didn’t show up (I was making a point about the Kyoto Protocol) — the computer inserted a different e-mail address.
Sorry about that, hope it didn’t cause any complications (some guys would think you’re lucky — you know all my e-mail addresses!)
